Head of Brand

The company is selling directly to the end-consumer, and doing annually over €15m in revenue while operating in multiple markets around the world – currently in the USA, Canada, UK, and several European countries. The ambition is to expand to Australia, Japan, Singapore, Mexico, Brazil, and the Middle East.

Mission/Purpose:

Head of Brand’s main purpose is to grow an army of raving fans who can’t have enough of our client’s products. It is about deeply understanding people – and building a seamless customer funnel from awareness about how the products can satisfy their needs to sales conversion. The role of the position is to lead the development and growth of the company’s e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, etc.) with a customer-focused, commercially-driven mindset. The Head of Brand is a strategic thinker who inspires and leads a team of eCom Product Managers and Marketing Managers to grow sales and profit by executing different sales & marketing activities. Your long-term goal is to grow from $15 million to $100 million annually.

Responsibilities

  • Create eCom marketing strategies (inside eCom platforms Amazon, Walmart, cleverfybeauty.com, retail) and oversee marketing campaigns – establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different sales channels and segments

  • Analyze customer insights, competitors, consumer trends, market analysis, and best practices to support successful strategies for marketing and product development

  • Drive sales and look after the budget of the department to make sure the budget spend is delivering a return on investment (ROI).

  • Track the effectiveness of sales campaigns and report findings to the executive team

  • Manage and grow your team, collaborate with other departments

  • Negotiate contracts and cooperate with third-party service providers and freelancers

  • Shape and communicate our vision and mission

  • Establish performance specifications, cost and price parameters, market applications and sales estimates

  • Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talents for their respective functions

  • Set performance objectives, provide the necessary support, evaluate/appraise the team and provide regular feedback on performance

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of management experience (leading a team of 7 or more people)

  • At least 3 years of experience managing managers

  • Higher education in Marketing, Business or work experience in the field

  • Experience in the digital retailing market, B2C experience.

  • Exemplary interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills

  • Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and communicate recommendations to executives

  • Experience in identifying target audiences and devising effective campaigns

  • Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix

  • Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind

  • Data-driven thinking and an affinity for numbers

  • Up-to-date with latest trends and eCommerce marketing best practices
