Marketing Data Analyst

Our client, a fast growing Silicon Valley start up is looking for a Data Analyst to join their journey. 

As a Marketing Data Analyst, you’ll work alongside Product and Marketing teams to collect, clean, and analyse data. This information will drive decision making – providing critical input for directionality and growth. You’ll also contribute to analysing brand campaigns, site optimisation, product testing strategy, and other relevant acquisitions.


  • Analyse internal, market, and customer levels of data regarding sales, revenue, price, opportunity, competitors, etc., to deliver insights and support decision making for key stakeholders such as marketing and sales
  • Model the life cycle of leads and sales to predict existing and future market performance
  • Act as a user insight liaison for the Marketing Team
  • Recommend, analyse, and review product data and trends to help build a better product catalog for the company
  • Work collaboratively across departments to recommend stable procurement strategy and sales forecasts
  • Stay informed on the competitive marketplace, manufacturing, pricing, and industry changes
  • Recommend adjustments based on the analysis
  • Create reports, dashboards and recaps on different metrics
  • Summarise and recommend actions based on customer behaviour insights
  • Translate data into actionable insights


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Mathematics or a related quantitative field required
  • 3+ years of professional experience in business/marketing/data analytics
  • Proficiency in SQL-like language, Tableau/PowerBI and mastery of Microsoft Suite (Excel)
  • Strong mathematical and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to summarise analytics into concise statements
  • Technical aptitude to quickly learn new technologies
  • A team player spirit who possesses the ability and willingness to diplomatically challenge business staff at all levels
