We are super excited to welcome our latest recruiter star, Elena Abela to the team. Elena is joining the Commercial desk to help candidates find careers all around Europe.

Who is Elena and what is she all about? We put her on the spot and asked her 5 questions – find her answers below and get a crash course in Elena knowledge!

✨Why did you choose recruitment as a career?

Whilst still being in love with numbers and excel sheets coming from a Finance background, I realized that I am more of a people’s person as I grew older – The numbers don’t get my bubbly personality ?

Helping people fulfills me, so I want to help people not only finding a job, but finding their passion the same way Magic Mondayz has been helping me. I am a curios person and a problem solver. Curious to know what people want to change in their life and eager to help them find the solution for that problem.

✨If you could choose only one place to go on vacation for the rest of your life, where would it be and why?

Indonesia! Bali is one of its Islands – I love beaches, sun, cocktails, massages and Detox Retreats. I also love to give and there are a few voluntary centers that are of interest to me, and I just pretty much love the Asian Continent.

✨What superpower would you like to have?

Teleporting – imagine how much money I would save on traveling the world! I would hate missing out on the mile high food, having classic FOMO, but at least my bank account wouldn’t be crying on a monthly basis.

✨What would the title of your autobiography be?

“Smiling since 1992”

✨What’s something you believed earlier in your career but think about differently now?

I used to believe that a person has 1 chance to choose their career and they’d be in that career for the rest of their life. What you want in your teens might not be what you want in your 20s or 30s, and that’s ok. It’s never too late, you just need courage (and a shoulder to cry on).
