We realised that many candidates would like to move there but don’t really know what the capital city of Catalonia has to offer. We decided to interview a few friends living and working in this beautiful city to find out how come they decided to move to Barcelona and what do they like the most about living there.[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Almost everyone mentioned the weather. No wonder, the summer in Barcelona lasts from May until October and during the rest of the year, the average daily temperature rarely falls under 15°C. Expats living there love spending time barbecuing or running at the beach especially during the winter months when the tourists leave the city and they can actually enjoy the nature without being interrupted every 5 seconds by a couple with a selfie stick ?[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][image_with_animation image_url=”5990″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]

People love living in Barcelona also because of history and culture. Barcelona’s cultural offering is endless. You can find live music venues on every corner, visit the opera, theatre and multiple museums. On top of that that Barcelona hosts some of the most famous festivals in the world such as Primavera Sound, Festival Internacional de Jazz de Barcelona, Sonar and Cruilla.

If you are tired of spending your nights in the crowded bars and feel like you would like to relax more actively, Barcelona won’t disappoint you either. The city has access to both mountains and the sea and has plenty of bicycle roads where you can just switch off after the long night in the club or long day in the office. Throughout the year, the city hosts top-class sporting events such as the Conde de Godó Tennis Tournament, the Formula 1 World Championships, riding competitions and sailing regattas. Just in case you are rather a passive sports lover, you can easily watch a Barça game and other events from a safe distance.

That makes sightseeing so much more fun and definitely allows everyone to find the hidden small streets they would never see otherwise and to stumble upon something historically significant. Let’s not forget that Barcelona is also well known for its incredible architecture.

Last but not least, just in case you were wondering what are you going to do after a long day of sightseeing, we would recommend you to visit one of the traditional tapas bars to finish the day with amazing wine, sampling some creative tapas. You can find our favourites spots below. Enjoy!
