Meet Dona
Talent Hunter with a creative mind

by | Mar 30, 2020

Ladies and Gents, please meet Dona, our Commercial Talent Hunter who recently joined our team of Recruiters at Magic Mondayz. This World Traveller is currently based in Bulgaria but all together she’s visited 33 countries and 197 cities and keeps counting. Her favorite part of the world to explore is SE Asia but she also loves long road trips around Europe. She is originally from Bulgaria but used to live in Malta where she definitely left a piece of her heart and many friends, she’s always happy to come back. Dona is definitely the creative one in the team. She likes writing and photography. Also attempting to paint but that hasn’t been very successful yet. On top of being a photographer and bookworm, she’s also a huge animal lover. Currently taking care of a rescue pup called Gimli.

What makes Dona MAGIC?

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Media. Master’s Degree in Project Management and International Relations. Extensive experience in recruiting and managing teams. Strong iGaming industry background.

We asked Dona some questions to shed more light on who our new colleague is – Hear it from Dona herself!

Why did you choose recruitment as a career?

Recruitment combines two of my passions: helping others and meeting new people. It’s impossible to describe with words the level of satisfaction I feel when I help someone nail the job of their dreams. Meanwhile I’m excited and fulfilled knowing I’ve assisted a client to find that one special candidate that’s the exact perfect match for their team. At the same time recruitment allows me to meet new people every day; to hear their stories; to become a tiny part of their world, even if it’s just for a little while. ?#idolovewhatido

What are you currently reading?

“Dry” by Neal Shusterman and Jarrod Shusterman. I am addicted to dystopian and science fiction novels. They help you escape reality, but at the same time force you to think about how sustainable your lifestyle is and how your small daily actions affect the well-being of our planet.

If you had a talk show, who would your first three guests be?

J. K. Rowling, Emilia Clarke and Toni Atanasov. I guess you haven’t heard of this last one. He’s a true inspiration when it comes to fighting against animal cruelty and since 2017 he’s saved thousands of abused stray dogs and cats in Bulgaria. Talk shows should be not only about entertainment, but also about important issues, such as animal welfare, which is still a massive problem in Eastern Europe, Asia and other parts of the world.

What superpower would you like to have?

Mind reading. ? I’ve always been extremely curious about human nature and why people make certain life decisions when they do.

If you were to choose a well-known axiom or slogan for your life, what would it be?

After climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb.” Nelson Mandela
