Are you an experienced technology leader ready to take ownership of an evolving iGaming platform with great potential? Our client, an ambitious start-up founded by an experienced industry team headquartered in Malta, with its technical development in Estonia, is looking for a hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead and develop its global tech function and shape the strategic direction of its platform development.
With a vision and experience to build a robust and scalable system that caters for a players first, global multi-brand, multi-product, multi-jurisdictional gambling platform. A platform that allows launching customized gambling sites to the market in a short time frame without compromising on quality, security, or user experience. The company is investing in world-class technology and engineering leadership.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Defining and executing the company’s long-term technology strategy.
Leading the architecture and development of a scalable and modular iGaming platform.
Building, developing and managing a high-performing, distributed engineering team.
Overseeing infrastructure, security, and performance of the entire tech ecosystem.
Implement and uphold best practices for scalable software development throughout the development workflow.
Driving performance, transformation, new technology and continuous improvement across the tech stack.
Aligning technical decisions with business objectives and multi-jurisdictional regulatory requirements.
Collaborating closely with business stakeholders
Managing roadmap, timelines, budgets, and technical resources.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a CTO or senior technical leadership role, ideally in high-growth tech or gaming environments.
Career long hands-on background in software architecture and engineering.
Mindset and patience to excel in a startup environment.
Vision and courage to boldly evolve the startup environment to big business.
Experience building scalable backend platforms and distributed systems.
Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strategic thinker with the ability to align technology with commercial goals.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
A product mindset with a focus on user experience and operational efficiency.
iGaming industry experience and interest.
