Payment Analyst

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our partner, a rapidly expanding company in the iGaming sector, looking for a Payments Analyst to join their Fraud & Payments team. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with a strong grasp of payment processing, fraud prevention, and transaction monitoring.

As a Payments Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless financial transactions, resolving player payment issues, and proactively identifying irregular patterns to enhance the payment experience. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external payment providers to ensure efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction & Player Support

  • Address player inquiries related to failed or delayed transactions, ensuring a quick and empathetic resolution.
  • Investigate payment discrepancies, working to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Maintain clear communication with players, ensuring they understand the status of their transactions.

Payment Processing & Risk Monitoring

  • Conduct daily transaction audits, flagging and resolving potential processing issues.
  • Oversee deposits, withdrawals, and refunds, ensuring transactions are executed without delays.
  • Monitor for emerging patterns or payment flow disruptions to minimize risks.

Liaison with Payment Providers

  • Serve as the primary contact for third-party payment providers, managing escalations effectively.
  • Develop strong partnerships with payment processors to expedite issue resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) with external payment partners.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Analyze key payment metrics and transaction data to identify trends or potential bottlenecks.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve payment processes.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Technical Knowledge

  • 1+ years of experience in payment operations, ideally within the iGaming or fintech space.
  • Hands-on experience with PaymentIQ (a must-have!).
  • Familiarity with various payment providers, processing workflows, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a proactive approach to payment discrepancies.

Soft Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to handle both customer interactions and provider negotiations.
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to manage escalations professionally, maintaining a calm and solution-focused approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
  • Comfortable working across departments, including fraud prevention, customer support, and compliance.
  • Availability to work within the CET time zone.
